Thank You 6th Street: Ottoman Love

I have to gush and thank Kirsten from 6th Street Design School. Did you see her post about this?

                                     It looks an awful like the Ballard storage bench:

Amelia Storage Bench

                                        {amelia storage bench $399-$591 from ballard designs}

The one Kirsten posted about is from K-Mart for only $99.  it is part of their Country Living line. Having just experienced stitches on my two year old, we vowed to ditch the lifelong dream of a beautiful, wood coffee table or trunk. So I immediately perked up and thought, “I want that!” I literally went to the website and pushed “add to cart.” So not like me, and yet so glad I did. I have never purchased anything from K-Mart, but let me tell you . . . . I love this beauty. It arrived today and it’s great. I plan to paint the little bun feet dark, but other than that, it is exactly what we needed. And with a two and four year old cruisin’ around the place, the price point of $99 was super attractive. Here she is:

                    So after some dark stain or paint on the feet, it will be perfect. Who knew K-Mart had such cute things????

    I just got a faux leather ottoman from Walmart that the top turns over into two trays. Very functional adn I love it in our living room. This one looks much more classy though:)

  20. Nothing is better than a great deal on something great! (c: And at the kmart price, you don't have to freak out about the kiddos being around it! Although, if I'm being honest, I probably still would...(c:

  24. Thanks for all of the nice comments about my bench! It's linen and I plan to scotch guard it tomorrow! The kiddos are in the habit of washing their hands after eating or drinking anything so I am going to keep that up! Fingers crossed.
