A Thoughtful Place: Falling into the Season: Our Mantel

Falling into the Season: Our Mantel

It finally looks a bit like fall around here! While at Trader Joes, I picked up one pumpkin and a couple of mini ones. That seemed to do the trick for getting me motivated. I used a previous post for inspiration. For the rest of the décor I shopped the house. With the use of leaves, burlap, a few more pumpkins, and wine charms, the mantel is now sporting it’s Fall 2011 look.

My parents had given us wine tags last year from Pottery Barn. There is every letter of the alphabet so I spelled out “Gather” and attached them to the burlap. Hard to see in the photos, but they add another layer that I really like.

Sadly, we still aren’t sporting any gas logs for our fireplace {Santa, are you listening?} so I decided it might as well serve as another spot for fall décor. I picked up the glam-pumpy at HomeGoods for $10. I couldn’t resist a little bit of shimmer.

I am linking this up to the fall mantel party! You should too. Come join the fun.

  15. I WISH I had the need for a mantel, but I think it's hot enough here already.

This is so, so pretty. I never decorate for Fall. You just might have inspired me.

By the way, great minds think alike. Your green couch pillow is the same as my living room curtains. :)
