This is a peek into our living room. It has evolved over time since moving into our home six years ago, and something about it now just feels right to us. So aside from accessories, fresh flowers, and holiday décor, the bones will be staying just as they are.

ReplyDeleteI love this idea, you definitely need a house tour here, it's too amazing not to unleash it on the blogosphere! (c: And oh how I love that zebra rug...
ReplyDeleteThe room looks great - family friendly and stylish! Also, you've done a really good job of styling your table vignettes and bookshelves. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Courtney! I love the chairs in front of the fireplace. Lots of people wouldn't do that because it's the "feature of the room", but really, it's one of the best ways to highlight it (:
ReplyDeleteI love this room... so warm and cozy with a lot of personal touches... totally what I aspire to for our living room.
ReplyDeleteI love your living room. I mean, you probably already knew that since I reproduced your subway sign. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Covington fabric has been a favorite of mine for years since I saw Pottery Barn's Serafina pillow cases and I would die for that Kmart ottoman!
Did you see my house tour I posted yesterday? Stop by and let me know what you think. If you have any suggestions for bringing more color in - I'm all ears!

Hi, Courtney! I briefly saw this yesterday, but didn't have time to comment...but I had to come back!!!
ReplyDeleteG.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. (all the periods for effect, of course! Lol.)
We have very similar taste, you have just done more of the "putting it all together" than I have. (Sigh.)
What I love is that it's classy and sophisticated (yep, I kind of like "sophisticated"...haha) without looking overly stuffy and "don't touch me". Awesome art you made!
I personally love (and have) this color combo b/c it's so restful, but fresh. I also love that you combine a mix of more expensive pieces with budget-friendly ones. I have a very similar smokey-blue suede chair from HomeGoods (that came with nail-head already on it), but how awesome that you added your own. Smart, cookie. ;) I did the same on our master bedroom headboard I made.
Thanks for letting us peak inside your house. You know people are naturally curious! Haha. You are awesome...and inspiring, as usual. (I made curtains in my living room/kids' playroom with that same green trellis fabric on your pillow)...and I love the #2 pillow. I think I might have to try that (with a 3 for the kids) in my family room. I just flip-flopped the furniture in each room, so now I'm in redecorating mode for both room. (Like I have time. I say that a lot, don't I? Picking up on a trend, here?)
Have a great Friday!
it looks beautiful! i love the calming color scheme. i'm your newest follower ;)
ReplyDeleteps, came here from michaela's blog, blame her :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I just discovered your blog it is lovely. I'm following now. You really did a great job on your living room. I espeically love your pillow choices and the anthropolgie bowls. Carrie
ReplyDeleteYour room is perfect -- right down to every little detail!
ReplyDeleteThe room is beautiful, Court!!! I love all the details, and I love how you've made it comfy and serene, but still with a fun amount of color. I see us curled up on that sofa for sure! Not spooning or anything, just chatting over snacks and wine. ;)
ReplyDeleteand your pumpkin pics today are so so cute!!!
Your home is absolutely lovely! Its so warm and inviting! Truly a place to call home.

Courtney!! How did I miss this post??!! I love this room- the zebra rug is perfect. You've done an awesome job. I'm taking inspiration from you girl!! Beautiful!! And so funny that we have the same couch:)
ReplyDeleteLove your home! What is the paint color in the living room? I'm looking for a great tan color like that!!!
ReplyDeleteMe, too!
DeleteYour living room is gorgeous. Very elegant but still has that 'i can sit on the couch feeling' :) Where on etsy did you get your green and white pillows, I am in love with both!
ReplyDeleteI just saw that same green fabric in Joanne Fabrics today. It was custom order from Waverly. :-)
DeleteBeautiful room! Love the details, especially the framed sheet music with the written notes ..the personal touches are the best!
ReplyDeleteHi! I would love to know the paint color??!
ReplyDeleteI would also love to know the paint color. We have a couch the same color from Thomasville and I'm confused with which wall color to go with. I wanted a taupe before we got the couch, but now I don't think that will jive with the golden tones of the couch. So, we were thinking a variation of green, but I'd rather go neutral and throw color in with accent pieces. Thanks :) Beautiful job!

ReplyDeleteYou have done an amazing job with your living room - it's gorgeous! I have this linked to my living rooms post too today, I was trying to get all full living room tours and this post was perfect for it!
ReplyDeleteCould you tell me the paint color of the room? I love the whole thing!!!
ReplyDeleteCochise by Dunn Edwards! Great color for a neutral.
DeleteThanks!
DeleteI found a link to this on Pinterest and I thought it was funny it brought me to your blog, which I was just at for something else yesterday. I also saw your blog on another blog earlier today. So obviously, I'm meant to be viewing your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteI must say that I could honestly move straight into this room. I can't say that about a lot of rooms where I like a few items... I love everything about it. The colors, the patterns, the frames on the walls, the smaller items too. I love it all!
I never saw a response to your paint color. What is it? It's a lovely khaki!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Hi Little Miss Mel! You do not have an email attached to your comments so I could not respond. Happy to let you know it is cochise by Dunn Edwards. It has been a very nice neutral for us. Hope that helps.
