{Christmas Cheer Link Party} Holiday Vignette

It's time to get your Holiday Vignette on! Welcome to the second link up party in our "Bringing Holiday Cheer to the Blogosphere" series. I am showing you my sideboard today. It is in our dining room and I like to keep it pretty clean and simple. First and foremost, because that is largely my style, but also because we love to entertain and it often becomes a spot for guests to pour themselves a drink or grab a dessert. My color scheme this year {as you can tell from our Giving Tree} is gold, cream and green.

I relied heavily on Christmas ornaments to give me the simple bling factor I was looking for. I don't think I spent one dime this year and really tried to use pretty containers and items I already had.

The flameless candle is wrapped in ribbon and secured with a tack.

I like the way the mirror reflects the wreaths that are on the French doors. I left the grapevine wreaths up for a natural look and simply tied a large bow and one hanging ornament.

The trees hold special meaning as the large one is from my mom and the smaller gold one belonged to my Grandmother. Because she is no longer with us, it's a nice reminder.

So I may have stretched the "vignette" a bit, but I needed to show you more of the space so that it all made sense. I enjoy this area most at night when everything is softly lit. What about you? What are you cooking up over at your place. Feel free to link up any fun decorating you have been doing. I can't wait to check them all out.

Grab a button for your vignette post or sidebar if you wish! Pass along the merry!

  1. Two things:
    1) What am I doing up at this hour?
    2) It's settled. You can do no wrong.

(I love that some of the decor holds special meaning for you and that you didn't spend a dime. That's my motto...except I haven't even begun my decorating yet.)

  2. This has to be one of my favorite color schemes of the season. The pop of green is just perfect. Love that you used what you had and reorganized! And it is always great to add those meaningful pieces in the mix. Just lovely!

  33. Both your mom and grandmother are gone? That is rough. I'm glad that you have some things like the trees to remind yourself of them. You can't put a price on sentimental value.
