One of the reasons I love blog world so much is because of the endless amount of inspiration that abounds and the clever ideas that amazing people share. I have been oohing and aweing over brass side tables lately. Chris from Just A Girl just did a great post about different tables that are out there. She even scooped a darling one {pictured down below} from Kirkland’s.

$745
$600

$50
I knew I wanted a little brass table to set next to a bench we have in our living room. BUT . . . I really didn’t want to spend much money. In fact all of the above price tags were a huge turn off. At just $50 the Kirkland’s table almost made it into my shopping cart, but it’s just the wrong shape for next to my bench. So this is where Cassie’s brilliance enters the picture! She has been dishing out daring jolts of brass throughout her home. All of which I love. I am sure you have seen these or these. So my wheels started turning.
It was off to HomeGoods for me! The spot next to my bench is quite small and it really just needs to be a spot for someone to rest a drink when we entertain. There were a bazillion to choose from. I came home with two so I could decide which one I liked best. Can you believe they were only $15.00 a piece. Score. That combined with a $3 can of Brass Metallic spray paint and I am one happy camper.

I could not be happier with this little baby. And for under $20 I will take it. I have some DIY coasters to show you later in the week that will sit on top of the books. Oh, and Amen to our floors being done. We love them.

ReplyDeleteWow - that turned out to be a gorgeous little side table! I have been bitten by the brass bug and in fact have one of the side tables from Kirkland's (not the one pictured above but a rectangular, faux-bamboo one, with a mirrored top)...it currently sits in our family room but may need to be moved to our living room due to the climbing tendencies of one two-year old that lives here. I love it!
