Master Bedroom Update

Do you remember when luck was on my side and I told you how I found this scrumptious bed!?  Well there is a little bit of project mayhem going on over here. I seriously have three or four major room projects going on. It’s a bit ridiculous and causes everything to be on the very   s  l  o  w   track. But I am okay with slow. I thought I would just update you on how the bedroom is coming along. I am using one of my favorite prints which I found at Z Gallerie.  Here is a look:

So this is in the very rough stages! That damask print is actually a rug . . . you heard that right. It’s a rug.  And I am in love with it and I plan to make a pillow out of it. I love the contrast with the geometric Z Gallerie pillows. I am also planning to infuse one bold color in the mix. What color would you add?

Still To Do:

new bed

new lamps

make pillows

make new drapes

accessorize

relax in my new room!

Oh, and we ran into one little itsy bitsy snafu {is that a word?} with the bed. Can’t wait to share that disaster creative challenge with you next week!

  1. Can't wait to see the whole thing. I am in the mist of doing my master bedroom too and can't seem to commit to a headboard. Maybe your reveal will inspire me.

  2. I'm in love. That gorgeous shade of chocolately gray is gorgeous (and I just happen to have the same color mix in my family room b/w the curtains and rug...gee you have good taste. Ha!) Beautiful already...great sneak peek teaser! ;) I'd add a smokey, steely blue (and is that already the color on your wall?) Alternatively, you could add a golden mustardy yellow....or....a pop of coral. I think blue is the most restful looking, though. Just my opinion.

You can do no wrong in my book. I've never seen a room or project of yours that I didn't just gawk at. It's in your DNA to be great at this stuff!

Have a great day! I wish I had any project in the works right now. All my gorgeous chevron fabric is still on the bolt. It calls out my name in the dark. ;)

  6. Love it! I scooped those rugs up all around town too! I'm having a few sewn to make a runner in my kitchen and may reupholster my counter chairs with it. Love your sneak peek of your room!
    Enjoy your day

  7. That headboard is gorgeous....can't wait for the reveal. I think yellow would be a nice pop og color against the grays, white, and blue.

  10. It's looking beautiful, Courtney. Aqua would be pretty. I seem to have pink on my brain these days....a fun, bright, hot pink. That would be bold and add a pop. Whatever you come up with will be lovely. Can't wait to see!

  20. Coral or yellow would be beautiful! Can't wait to see more! We are also in the middle of several projects and getting just one complete seems to be taking much longer than I thought.
